Francisco Úbeda de Torres

Francisco Úbeda de Torres is a Professor of Mathematical Biology at the School of Biological Sciences, Royal Holloway, University of London. His research focuses on evolutionary dynamics driven by genomic and social conflict, particularly how intragenomic conflicts lead to molecular mechanisms detrimental to individuals and result in diseases. He uses mathematical models to formulate evolutionary theories and interpret biological data, with applications to human health and medical implications. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
