Francisco S. Ramos is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. He contributes extensively to environmental economics and game theory, with a focus on dynamic modeling, policy design, and institutional analysis. His work spans antitrust enforcement, public service efficiency, and labor market dynamics.
His research includes applied studies on crime-related welfare loss, competitiveness of Brazilian ports, and greenhouse gas markets. He also explores theoretical frameworks for Pigouvian taxes, tradable permits, and principal-agent relationships in energy regulation. Ramos edits the NEP report on Environmental Economics and has published in journals like Mathematics, Scientometrics, and Economia.
Recent work (2024) integrates Shapley Value and Nucleolus in Dynamic Network DEA to allocate shared resource benefits, alongside modeling innovation systems in Latin America using coalitional game theory.
