Francisco Nobre is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Aston Business School and University of Bristol, and a Teaching Assistant at Royal Holloway University of London. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Surrey (UK), an MSc from Queen Mary University of London, and a BSc from the University of Coimbra (Portugal). His work focuses on Urban Economics, Economic Geography, and Economics of Crime. In 2023, he was a visiting researcher at Uppsala University's Urban Lab.

Research Interests: His research explores urban spatial dynamics, including the impacts of short-term rentals, gambling harms, and the role of private provision of public goods. Recent projects include analyzing housing market responses to Business Improvement Districts and evaluating gambling venue effects on communities.
Recent Work Trends: His articles address contemporary urban challenges, such as the economic footprint of tourism-driven rentals and policy design for mitigating negative externalities from gambling venues.
