Francisco López Simó

Dr. Francisco López Simó is a full Professor of Procedural Law at the Faculty of Law, University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) since 2004. He holds the title of Catedrático (full professor) and has taught at multiple Spanish institutions including Universidad Complutense de Madrid and UNED.

• Education: Degree and Doctor of Law (cum laude) from UIB
• Current roles: Dean of UIB Faculty of Law (2014-present), Director of UIB-ICAIB Master's in Law (2013-14)

His research focuses on Procedural Law, with emphasis on European Civil Procedure, International Private Law, and Legal Mediation. He leads the UIB research group Derecho Procesal Europeo (EurPro) since 2010 with 15 members from Spanish universities.

Key publications include comparative studies on civil procedure, EU small claims regulations, and specialized commentaries on Spanish procedural laws. His work spans judicial competence, judgment execution, and international dispute resolution.

Scientific awards include:
