Francisco Javier Espinach Orús

Francisco Javier Espinach Orús is a Professor in the Department of Organisation, Business Management and Product Design at the University of Girona. His academic expertise lies in Graphic Expression in Engineering, and he is an active member of the Sustainable Materials and Product Design Research Group.

His educational background includes a PhD from the University of Girona, an Industrial Organization Engineering degree, and a Mechanical Industrial Engineering degree, both from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).

His research focuses on innovation in product and process design, emphasizing the social responsibility of designers and sustainable development. He explores the integration of new materials into product development and advances in engineering design methodologies.

He has actively contributed to national and European research projects such as FIORES, FIORESII, Touch and Design, and RESPONSE, with over 50 published contributions in conferences and journals related to engineering design and graphic expression.

He has co-authored publications in the PRODIS research group series and continues to participate in academic conferences and collaborative research initiatives in his field.
