Francisco Gonzalez-Lima is the George I. Sanchez Centennial Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Liberal Arts. His academic career spans over four decades, including roles as a Humboldt Research Fellow in Germany and founding faculty at Ponce School of Medicine. He specializes in neurocognitive enhancement, functional neuroimaging, and brain stimulation, with over 400 peer-reviewed publications. His research pioneered FDG neuroimaging for learning functions and developed cytochrome oxidase histochemistry methods.
