Dr. Francis Halsall is a Lecturer and (Co) Director of the Masters Programs in Art in the Contemporary World at the School of Visual Culture, National College of Art and Design (NCAD). His research bridges modern/contemporary art history, philosophical aesthetics, and systems theories. He is completing two book projects: Niklas Luhmann’s Aesthetics and Systems Aesthetics, and has published widely on topics like cybernetics, network aesthetics, and art theory.
