معرفی
Francesco Raffaelli is a PhD student at the University of Oxford (Department of Politics and International Relations) and concurrently serves as a Researcher at Humboldt University Berlin. His research focuses on identity politics, comparative political economy, and political behavior in Western Europe, with a particular emphasis on migration attitudes, the politicization of gender/race issues (e.g., 'wokeness'), and attitudinal bundles like homo- and femo-nationalism. Methodologically, he employs surveys, laboratory experiments, and causal inference techniques.
Research Interests
Francesco examines how political identities and attitudes form in response to migration, cultural conflicts, and social change. His work bridges micro-level behavioral studies (e.g., voter preferences) with macro-level institutional analyses (e.g., policy impacts). Current projects include:
- Drivers of pro-migrant attitudes in Western Europe
- Electoral consequences of issue politicization (e.g., 'wokeness')
- Intergroup relations and national identity dynamics
Affiliations & Methodology
In addition to his academic roles, he contributes to the DYNAMICS Research Group. Methodologically, he combines experimental designs with observational data analysis to establish causal mechanisms in political behavior.
