Francesco Montuori

Francesco Montuori is a researcher at the European University Institute in the Department of History. His work focuses on the global dimensions of material culture, particularly examining East Asian influences on European visual and decorative arts through his thesis The Orient in a Room. The Global Dimension of the Porcelain Boudoir of Maria Amalia of Saxony. Supervised by Giorgio Riello (EUI) and Michael Yonan (external), his research intersects with visual history, cultural history, and global imperial history.
