Francesco Loddo is a Lecturer and Ph.D. candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering (39th cycle, 2023-2026) at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Department of Structural, Building and Geotechnical Engineering (DISEG). He teaches in the Building Engineering program as a course collaborator for InfraBIM, Design, Construction and Management, and BIM and Construction Management courses.
His research focuses on Building Information Modeling (BIM), Construction Management, and the integration of artificial intelligence with engineering design. He explores semantic representation and human-AI collaboration to address complexity in digital models, with applications in virtual reality and health-related fragility assessment.
His 2024 publications examine digital models and natural language for complexity interpretation, and semantic approaches to human-AI collaborative measurement. This work bridges civil engineering, computer science, and AI, aiming to enhance design and construction processes through innovative computational methods.
