Francesco Leporati is an Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial and Information Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Pavia. His research focuses on specialized computer architectures for intensive computing, microprocessor instrumentation development, and applications in automotive systems, physical simulations, industrial automation, biosensors, and hyperspectral image processing.
His research interests include:
- Design of GPU, DSP, and FPGA architectures for hyperspectral image processing
- Development of microprocessor instrumentation
- Automotive applications and physical system simulations
- Machine control in footwear manufacturing
- Portable biosensors using surface plasmon resonance
He is affiliated with the Microcomputer Laboratory at the University of Pavia and holds regular office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5pm.
