Francesco D'Amico is a PhD researcher at the Institute of Chemistry of OrganoMetallic Compounds (ICCOM) of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), under the supervision of Prof. Maurizio Taddei and Dr. Gianna Reginato from the University of Siena. His work focuses on designing photoactive molecules for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) optimized for low-light conditions and developing green protocols for Suzuki-Miyaura reactions. He holds a BSc in Chemical Science from the University of Florence (2021), where his research on C-H activation in deep eutectic solvents was published in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering. He also conducted a research stay at Sorbonne Université, studying luminescent gold(I) complexes.
His academic journey includes collaborative projects with Prof. Virginie Mouriés Mansuy and Prof. Louis Fensterbank. Currently, his research aligns with sustainable energy and eco-friendly chemical processes, contributing to advancements in renewable energy materials and catalytic methodologies.
