Francesco Bronzino

Francesco Bronzino is an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences) in computer science at École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, where he is a member of the LIP laboratory. Previously a Research Scientist at Nokia Bell Labs and Post-Doc at Inria Paris, he holds a Ph.D. from WINLAB at Rutgers University and is co-founder/CTO of NetMicroscope.

His research develops systems to measure and optimize network service performance through:

• End-to-end ML traffic analysis pipelines
• Adaptive video analytics architectures
• Crowdsourced network measurement frameworks
• Network data augmentation techniques

Recent breakthroughs include the CATO framework for optimizing ML traffic analysis systems and VideoJam architecture for self-balancing live video analytics. Dr. Bronzino leads research on concept drift in cellular networks and cross-layer optimization for mobile edge computing. His group actively explores practical applications of machine learning for network management and optimization.
