Francesca Pangallo is a Research Fellow at the Department of Humanities at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her roles include participation in the Temporary Center for the Innovation Ecosystem Project and the Research Institute for Digital and Cultural Heritage. She holds a PhD in Italian Studies from Ca’ Foscari (2020), with a focus on Primo Levi’s reception in the US, and completed a visiting research period at the University of Cambridge (2019). Her teaching includes Italian language and literature courses at undergraduate and foundation levels.
Her research interests center on Holocaust Studies, Italian-American literary relations, translation studies, and memory studies. She has explored topics like Primo Levi’s transatlantic reception, Sciascia’s narrative of memory, and literary praxis in prison contexts. Her work bridges comparative literature and cultural heritage.
Pangallo has contributed to grants such as the Storytelling e Orientamento Narrativo project (2021-2022) and Slow Life, Slow Stories (2020-2021). She has also held adjunct teaching roles and participated in international programs like Harvard University’s CFHSS. Her research integrates philological rigor with interdisciplinary approaches to narrative and cultural mediation.
