Francesca Cuomo is an Associate Professor in Corporate Governance at Norwich Business School (University of East Anglia) and Head of the Responsible Business Regulation Group. She joined Norwich Business School in 2012, having previously held roles at Bocconi University, Salerno University, and Parthenope University of Naples. Her research focuses on international corporate governance, ESG regulations, institutional investors, and CSR disclosures. She has been awarded multiple prizes, including the 2021 Best Reviewer Award from Corporate Governance: An International Review. Cuomo supervises PhD students in areas like corporate governance and institutional investors. She has secured grants totaling over £300k from organizations like the Institute for Family Business Research Foundation and the Financial Reporting Council. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to responsible consumption and production. She serves on editorial boards and reviews for top journals like British Journal of Management and Organization Studies.
Education: MA in Economics (2004) and PhD in Business Administration (2008) from Parthenope University of Naples. Visiting scholar at IESE Business School (2007).
Research Interests: ESG regulations, board diversity, shareholder activism, and governance codes. Key projects include evaluations of EU non-financial reporting directives and Wates Principles for private companies.
