Francesca Bartolucci is an Assistant Professor in the Analysis research group at the Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics, TU Delft. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zürich (2020-2023) and completed her PhD in Mathematics at the University of Genova (2016-2020), focusing on Radon Transforms, Unitarization, and Wavefront Sets. Her research integrates applied harmonic analysis, group representation theory, and functional analysis of neural networks, particularly addressing inverse problems. She co-organized a contributed session at IWOTA 2025 on operator learning. Key contributions include work on wavelet sign retrieval, neural operator learning, and the interplay between Radon transforms and shearlets.
Education:
- BSc in Mathematics, University of Genova (2011-2014)
- MSc in Mathematics, University of Genova (2014-2016)
- PhD in Mathematics and Applications, University of Genova (2016-2020)
Research Interests: Francesca’s work bridges pure and applied mathematics, emphasizing:
- Radon transforms and their applications in signal reconstruction
- Operator learning and neural networks
- Group representation theory in inverse problems
- Wavelet and shearlet transforms for microlocal analysis
Grants & Collaborations: Collaborations include projects with Rima Alaifari (ETH Zürich) and José A. Iglesias (University of Graz). Her funded research explores alias-free operator learning and phase retrieval techniques.
Labs/Teams: Active in TU Delft’s Analysis group and previously in ETH Zürich’s Mathematics department.
