Francesc Perez-Murano

Francesc Perez-Murano is a Research Professor at the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC), specializing in nanofabrication and nanolithography. He has pioneered work in integrating nanolithography with CMOS technologies and developed novel methods for nanoelectronics and nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS). His contributions include the first CNT transistors in Spain (2003) and groundbreaking work on nanomechanical resonators in CMOS circuits (2006).

• Roles: Vice-director of IMB-CNM (2016–2021), Group Leader of NANONEMS (2007–2017), Coordinator of CSIC Quantum Technologies Platform (2018–2021).
• Education: PhD and postdoctoral research at institutions like DTU (Denmark), EPFL (Switzerland), and NIST (USA).
