Forrest Colburn is Professor of Political Science at CUNY Graduate Center, with additional affiliations at INCAE Business School. Holding a PhD from Cornell University, his scholarship examines governance and economic development in poorer nations, particularly Latin America.
His publications analyze revolutionary movements, nation-building, and liberal reforms. Notable works include Colonialism, Independence, and the Construction of Nation-States (2021) and Latin America at the End of Politics.
Honors include a Fulbright Fellowship and residency at the Institute for Advanced Study. He has consulted for the International Labor Organization across Latin America.
