Folasade Kehinde, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine. She holds a faculty position at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she co-directs the multidisciplinary 'Next Steps Program' for NICU graduates. Her clinical expertise focuses on neonatal-perinatal medicine, non-invasive ventilation, and extreme/very low birth weight infants. Dr. Kehinde received her medical degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, followed by pediatric residency at SUNY Downstate and fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Connecticut.
Her research emphasizes improving outcomes for preterm infants, including osteopenia prevention, reducing NICU-related complications, and optimizing follow-up care. She has been repeatedly recognized as a 'Top Doctor' by Philadelphia magazine (2018, 2021-2025) and awarded the 2025 Golden Apple Award for teaching excellence. Her scholarly work spans neonatal bone disorders, language barriers in NICU care, and developmental outcomes for premature infants.
