Dr. Fokke Gerritsen is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Archaeology of Anatolia and Early Farming Societies. He leads the Barcın Höyük excavations and directs the Netherlands Institute in Turkey (NIT). His roles include teaching, research leadership, and editorial work for journals like Anatolica and Journal of Archaeology in the Low Countries.
