Florian Tramèr

Florian Tramèr serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, ETH Zurich, and concurrently holds the leadership position of Deputy head of the Institute of Information Security. His academic work bridges computer security, privacy engineering, and artificial intelligence safety, with a focus on mitigating emerging threats from generative systems.

His research expertise centers on Information Security, Privacy Enhancing Technologies, and Responsible AI, particularly investigating technological defenses against generative AI vulnerabilities as recognized by his Amazon Research Award project Can Technology Protect us from Generative AI?. He teaches advanced coursework including the Information Security Lab and Privacy Enhancing Technologies, providing students with hands-on security implementation experience.
