Florian Schmiedek is a Professor at Goethe University Frankfurt, affiliated with the Department of Psychology & Sports Science and its Educational Psychology division. He also serves as Head of the Cognitive Development and Education and Development departments at DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education in Frankfurt am Main. His work focuses on educational psychology and cognitive development across the lifespan.
Research interests include:
- Cognitive development in educational contexts
- Developmental psychology
- Learning processes and educational outcomes
