Florian Pfab

Dr. Florian Pfab is a Lecturer for special tasks at the Department of Art Education at Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg. Previously, he held a similar position at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (2021–2025) and worked as a teacher and trainee in secondary schools. He earned his doctorate at the University of Regensburg in 2018 after completing a Master’s degree in Art Education and German Studies.

His research and professional focus lies at the intersection of art education, contemporary painting, and pedagogical applications of visual arts. While he has not published academic articles, his artistic career is marked by numerous solo and group exhibitions, including 'escape' (2016) at the University Art Gallery, Regensburg, and 'discovery' (2013) at the Municipal Gallery, Bad Griesbach.

He has received recognition such as the Prize Corciano di Pittura e Scultura in 2011 and has participated in recurring exhibitions like 'art.show' (2013–2016). His work often explores themes of isolation, landscapes, and abstract interpretations of everyday scenes through oil paintings.
