Florian Noseleit is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Groningen, affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Innovation Management & Strategy department. He serves as Director of the Research Programme Innovation & Organization and is a member of the FEB Institutional Research Board and Management Team.
His research focuses on entrepreneurship as a socio-economic function, emphasizing determinants/consequences of entrepreneurial activities, innovation ecosystems, and sustainability transitions. Key areas include collaborative R&D, social innovation, and the impact of authoritarian regimes on open innovation. He has contributed to leading journals like Strategic Management Journal and Journal of Management, blending academic rigor with policy-oriented insights.
Recent work explores topics such as scaling social innovation, founders' backgrounds influencing R&D cooperation, and pandemic-driven innovation. He advises regional innovation systems through policy reports and workshops, reflecting a commitment to bridging academic research and practical application.
