Florian Heigenhauser is a PartTime Lecturer at the Chair of Music Education and Music Didactics within the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts, History, and Social Sciences at the University of Regensburg. He teaches practical piano performance and supervises students in music theory and analysis for secondary school teachers.
- Education: Studied educational music and composition at the Munich University of Music, graduating with a master's degree in 1991.
His research and creative work focuses on music composition, analysis, and education, with an emphasis on unconventional projects for diverse ensembles. He integrates computer-assisted concepts into his compositions and explores interdisciplinary collaborations in theater and film music.
Heigenhauser has received recognition for his artistic achievements, including an award for his 1998 performance of Matthäus Lang's prophecies at the International Rhine/Ruhr Choral Festival. His career spans both academic teaching and practical engagement in musical performances, such as orchestral and film music projects.
