معرفی
Floriaan Devloo-Delva is an Adjunct Researcher at the University of Tasmania's Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies and a CSIRO postdoctoral researcher. His work focuses on adaptation genomics, epigenomics, and population genetics of cartilaginous and bony fishes. He completed his PhD at the University of Tasmania (2017–2021), investigating sex-specific connectivity patterns in sharks.
Research interests include understanding species' resilience to environmental and anthropogenic pressures through genomic and epigenetic approaches. Current projects explore the adaptive potential of Southern sand flathead populations under climate change and fishing pressures. He leads the Holsworth Wildlife Research Endowment-funded project on sand flathead resilience, totaling $8,500.
Floriaan collaborates with institutions like CSIRO and integrates disciplines such as bioinformatics and behavioral physiology. His work aims to inform sustainable fisheries management and conservation strategies.
