Ingrid Fleming is a Professor of Physiology and a leading academic at Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany. She holds multiple leadership roles, including Director of the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Director of the Institute for Vascular Signalling. She has been a Guest Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China (2018-2021). Her research focuses on vascular biology, diabetes complications, and lipid signaling, with notable contributions to nitric oxide and cytochrome P450 pathways.
Education: BSc in Pharmacology and Biochemistry from Aston University (1984-1988), PhD from Université Louis Pasteur (1988-1991), and Habilitation in Physiology (1999).
Her awards include the Greenshield Award (1988), Nitric Oxide Society Young Investigator Award (2000), and membership in the German National Academy of Sciences (2016). She has led major initiatives, including the European Vascular Biology Organization (2010-2013) and the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research.
