Fiorella Retucci is an Associate Professor in History of Medieval Philosophy at the University of Salento (Italy) and holds an Akademie-Juniorprofessorin position at the University of Cologne (Germany). She specializes in medieval philosophical texts, particularly focusing on scholasticism and intellectual networks.
Education: Philosophy graduate from University of Lecce (2003), International PhD in Italian-German Cotutelle (2007). Professional roles include researcher at Cologne's Thomas-Institut (2005-2013) and national coordinator of a MIUR-funded FIRB project (2013-2016). Currently leads two PRIN Projects and directs a DFG-funded project on Durandus de S. Porciano's Sentences Commentary.
Her research interests include critical editions of medieval texts, medieval metaphysics, and the history of philosophical knowledge. She is editorial board member of journals like Recherches de philosophie et de théologie médiévale and chairs the Italian Academic Forum.
Awards include the Mela d'Oro (2011) and Lessing Förderpreis (2010). Active in academic administration as Coordinator of the Department of Humanistic Studies' Joint Commission since 2020.
