Fiona Warren

Fiona Warren is a statistician and researcher at the University of Exeter, affiliated with the Exeter Clinical Trials Unit and the Primary Care Department in the Health and Community Sciences school. She specializes in clinical trials and meta-analysis, particularly leveraging individual participant data (IPD) for evidence synthesis.

• Education: Master's in Medical Statistics (University of Leicester), PhD in evidence synthesis and meta-analysis methods.

Her research has focused on trials such as RESPOND, EcoWeb, REACH-HF, ERICA, HIPSTER, and MORE-KARE, addressing depression, mental health in young adults, heart failure, cancer diagnosis, and alcohol use disorder. She also led IPD meta-analyses on MBCT, blood pressure prognostic markers, and heart failure rehabilitation.

Warren has contributed to primary care surveys, including analyzing patient experiences in out-of-hours services. She leads a statistics team of seven at the CTU, supporting clinical trial methodologies.
