Finn T. Agerkvist

Finn T. Agerkvist is an Associate Professor and Acoustic Technology Group Leader at the Department of Electrical and Photonics Engineering, Technical University of Denmark. His research focuses on loudspeaker dynamics, nonlinear effects in acoustic systems, material optimization for transducers, and sound field control in multichannel systems. He contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through acoustic innovation.

Research interests include the internal mechanics of loudspeakers, cabinet design optimization, and application-driven studies in sound field control. Recent work explores magnetic-vibroacoustic coupling in balanced armature receivers and active noise control methods for outdoor events.

Recent publications emphasize structural vibration modeling, boundary layer effects on acoustic propagation, and optimization techniques for low-frequency noise reduction. His projects involve collaborations on acoustic array processing, room acoustics, and material-based loudspeaker design. Supervised PhD students include A. A. Figueroa Durán, Pietro Libianchi, and David G. Nielsen.
