Finn Frankenberg

Finn Frankenberg is a Researcher at the Institute for Particle Technology (iPAT) within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Braunschweig University of Technology. He has been working as a Research Associate in the division of Battery Process Technology since 2023, contributing to cutting-edge research in battery technology and particle engineering.

Mr. Frankenberg's research focuses on the development and manufacturing processes for advanced battery systems, particularly all-solid-state batteries. His work spans simulative and experimental investigations of ASSB materials, with special emphasis on electrode production, calendering processes, and the development of novel manufacturing techniques for battery components. He is actively involved in DFG-funded projects related to ion and electron conducting hetero-aggregates and scalable processing of solid-state battery cathodes.

His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on the intersection of particle technology and battery engineering, with particular expertise in numerical simulation of manufacturing processes for battery electrodes and cathodes. His work bridges fundamental particle science with practical battery manufacturing challenges, addressing key issues in electrode homogeneity, particle interactions, and process optimization.
