Filippo Costa Buranelli

Dr Filippo Costa Buranelli is a Senior Lecturer in the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews, affiliated with the Centre for Global Law and Governance. He holds a PhD in International Relations from King’s College London (2015) and an MSc in International Relations Theory from the London School of Economics (2011). His research focuses on interdisciplinary studies combining IR theory with area studies, particularly Central Asia and Eurasia, emphasizing norms, institutions, and historical orders. He is an expert in the English School of IR, non-Western concepts, and qualitative methodologies.
