Filip Rasmussen

Filip Rasmussen is an Associate Professor at MF University College of Theology, Religion and Society and OsloMet – Stortbyuniversitetet. His primary affiliation is with MF where he holds a dual position as Associate Professor II. He specializes in Systematic Theology with particular focus on Karl Barth’s theology, the interplay between academic and confessional theology, and pedagogical approaches to religious studies. Rasmussen has taught courses such as 'Examen Philosophicum' and 'Mission, Global Christianity and Dialogue of Religion.'

Education includes a PhD from MF (2020-2024), a Master of Studies in Theology from the University of Oxford (2018-2019), and a Bachelor's degree in theology from MF (2015-2018). His research explores theological realism, discourse analysis in religious studies, and the social trinity doctrine.

He currently serves as Scientific Editor for 'Kirke og Kultur,' Editor-in-Chief of 'Teologisk Tidsskrift,' and leads MF's Systematic Theology Research Seminar. His recent publications (2021-2024) critically examine theological methodological frameworks, Barth's epistemology, and the pedagogical implications of world religions models.

Rasmussen has held roles including Chair of MF's Research Committee and Trustee for MF doctoral students. His voluntary engagements include editorial work for academic journals and conference organizing.
