Filip Louagie is a Research Fellow and Business Developer affiliated with Ghent University, where he works in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, specifically the Department of Electronics and Information Systems. He concurrently serves as a Business Developer at IMEC, contributing to the Internet Technology and Data Science Lab.
His research spans wireless communication systems, embedded technologies, and integrated circuit design, with focus areas including:
- Wireless positioning systems and antenna propagation
- Mixed-signal integrated circuit design
- Software-defined radio implementations
- IoT-based sensor networks and data communication protocols
He leads multiple industry-funded projects through the Industrial Research Fund, including wireless control systems for industrial sites, IoT biometric sensors for healthcare, and electromagnetic field monitoring solutions. His single recent publication demonstrates a practical application of open-source SDR technology with Linux integration.
He collaborates within the Innovation in Internet and Data Technology research unit and maintains expertise in Dutch and English.
