Filip Kovacevic

Filip Kovacevic is a PreDoc Researcher at TU Wien's Faculty of Informatics, specializing in Data Science within the Institute of Information Systems Engineering (E194). His work centers on advancing data infrastructure, management frameworks, and health informatics applications.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.-Ing.) degree, the latter equivalent to a Master of Engineering in technical disciplines.

His research spans Data Management, Information Systems, and Health Informatics with emphasis on machine-actionable data solutions. Key interests include secure data infrastructure design, data citation frameworks for semantic web technologies, and health dataset creation from medical forums. Current projects integrate natural language processing with data governance to address real-world healthcare data challenges.

Recent publications (2021-2023) reveal consistent focus on practical data infrastructure tools: automated assessment of data management plans (2023), open-source secure data systems (OSSDIP, 2022), and RDF*-based citation frameworks (2021). These works demonstrate expertise in bridging theoretical data science with implementable solutions for research data ecosystems.
