Prof. Dr. Ferran Suñer is a full Professor at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) in Belgium. He holds the Chair in Multilingualism, Interculturality and Language Lab (CU.mil) and is affiliated with the Institute for Language and Communication / Linguistics Research Unit within the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts and Letters (FIAL). His academic work bridges German language pedagogy, cognitive linguistics, and technological innovation in language education.

His work explores how virtual reality, AI, and embodied practices like gesture-based grammar instruction impact second language acquisition.
Recent publications (2023-2025) demonstrate trends in AI integration (ChatGPT as learning partner), embodied teaching of German modal verbs, systematic reviews of usage-based language approaches, and cross-cultural studies on metaphor comprehension. He emphasizes mixed-methods research and digital task design to address heterogeneous learning environments.
