Ferran Sabate Garriga

Ferran Sabate Garriga is an Associate Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), affiliated with the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB) and the Department of Business Organization. He leads research in the GRO (Organizational Research Group) and inLab FIB, focusing on project management, higher education innovation, internet marketing strategies, and decision-making processes in organizational contexts. His work bridges business strategy with information systems, emphasizing practical applications in SMEs and educational technology.

He holds a Doctorate in Informatics from UPC and completed initial university teaching training. His research spans over 100 publications, including studies on social media impact, e-learning adoption, and sustainability competencies in engineering education. Notable contributions include analyzing social capital in tourism clusters, the effectiveness of corporate communication on social platforms, and the role of knowledge transfer offices in innovation ecosystems.

Dr. Sabate has supervised doctoral theses on microentrepreneurship in Ecuador and e-learning system acceptance in universities.
