Fernando Martín Nieto is a Professor at Camilo José Cela University (UCJC), specializing in supply chain optimization and logistics processes. He currently teaches the Bachelor's Degree in Transportation and Logistics, as well as the Bachelor's in Urban Management and Business and Technology. With over 20 years of professional experience, he has held roles in the Spanish Navy, U.S. Embassy in Washington D.C., and various universities including Complutense University of Madrid and Carlos III University of Madrid.
His academic training includes a Master in Business Management from UCJC, a Master in Operations Research from Complutense University, and a Graduate Degree in Economics and Business Administration from UNED. Professional highlights include managing the FMS program with the U.S. agency, directing the Transport and Logistics Sciences Degree (2014–2016), and leading the Naval Quartermaster’s Center (CESIA, 2010–2013).
Research interests focus on applying quantitative methods to logistics and operations management, with a strong emphasis on military and defense-related resource optimization. He has also contributed to postgraduate programs in logistics, auditing, and statistics across multiple institutions.
