Fernando Macías

Fernando Macías is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the IMDEA Software Institute in Madrid, Spain. He holds an MSc (2014) and a PhD (2019) in Software Engineering from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. His work focuses on runtime verification, model-driven engineering, and blockchain technology. Current and past projects include Offchain Tezos (runtime verification for Tezos blockchain), Madrid Flight on Chip (aerospace software verification), and MultEcore (multilevel modeling framework).

His research interests span software verification techniques, metamodelling, and legacy system modernization. Collaborations include the Miso Group at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, ISP at Universität zu Lübeck, and Quercus Software Engineering Group at Universidad de Extremadura. He has contributed to tools like RV+MM (runtime verification for DSLs) and MoTES (model transformation testing).
