Fernando Diaz Fernandez

Fernando Diaz Fernandez serves as a University Professor within the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychobiology at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Santiago de Compostela. He maintains dual affiliations with the Institute of Psychology (IPsiUS) and the NeuCogA-Aging research group, specializing in Applied Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychogerontology.

His research focuses on neural mechanisms of aging, cognitive decline in elderly populations, and psychobiological interventions for age-related cognitive disorders. Core methodologies integrate neuroimaging, behavioral assessments, and longitudinal studies within gerontological frameworks.
