Fermin Cuevas is a Researcher at CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research), specializing in the synthesis, structural, and physicochemical properties of intermetallics and hydrides for energy storage applications. His research focuses on hydrogen storage, Ni-MH batteries, and Li-ion batteries, with expertise in nanocomposite materials, mechanochemistry, and solid electrolytes.

- Mg-based and complex hydrides
- Nanocomposite and nanostructured materials
- Operando structural analysis using X-ray/neutron diffraction
