Fereshteh Dardmeh is an Associate Professor at the Department of Health Science and Technology, Faculty of Medicine, Aalborg University. She holds a D.V.M. in Veterinary Medicine and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences. Her research focuses on probiotics' role in fertility, chronic pain management, and regenerative medicine, particularly in male reproductive health and metabolic disorders. She leads the Probiotic Research Initiative™ and has collaborated on projects addressing male subfertility, diabetic wound healing, and osteoarthritis treatment.
Key projects include managing low male fertility via probiotics (Lactobacillus rhamnosus PB01), stem cell therapies for chronic wounds, and clinical studies on probiotics for knee osteoarthritis. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing health and well-being.
Publications highlight probiotic effects on sperm quality, hyaluronic acid applications in assisted reproduction, and the interplay between oxidative stress and infertility. She has contributed to over 30 peer-reviewed articles and datasets, with notable media coverage on probiotic influences on sperm health.
