Ferenc Csirkes is a Faculty Member in the Department of History at the University of Birmingham. His research focuses on Turkic literature, Safavid and Ottoman history, and the intersections of messianic traditions with literary production. Csirkes holds a PhD analyzing Turkic literature in Safavid Persia, with a focus on Shah Ismāʿīl I and Ṣādiḳī Beg. He has co-authored works on figures like Ármin Vámbéry and contributed to conferences such as the 'Post-Eurocentric Poetics' symposium at the American University of Beirut.
