Jun.-Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Heimerl is a Junior Professor for Roman Provincial Archaeology at the University of Trier's Faculty III. His research focuses on Roman military fortifications, ceramic analysis, and archaeological heritage communication. He has held roles including Deputy Director of FoRuM and ERASMUS Coordinator for Archaeology. He has conducted excavations in Augsburg, Bitburg, and Trier, and served at institutions like the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier.
