Ferda İlerten is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, Department of Foreign Languages at Yıldız Technical University. Holding a PhD in Foreign Language Education from Boğaziçi University (2012-2021), she is currently pursuing post-doctoral research at Harvard Graduate School of Education (2024-present). With over 13 years of teaching experience, she has held roles including Deputy Head of Department (2013-2015, 2019-2020) and taught at institutions like Brown University and Harvard University.

Scientific collaborations include co-authoring studies with scholars such as Banu Haznedar and Nihal Babür. Awards include the 2008 Best Oral Presentation Award at the 8th International Conference on Language, Literature, and Rhetoric.
