Fengyuan Yang serves as Professor and Director of ENCOMM at The Ohio State University, conducting research in the Physics Research Building. His work focuses on experimental condensed matter physics with emphasis on quantum material systems.

Yang's research explores spin, magnetic, topological, and quantum phenomena in complex materials including oxides, topological insulators, and intermetallic heterostructures. His group specializes in ultrahigh vacuum off-axis sputtering and molecular-beam epitaxy (MBE) for epitaxial film growth, enabling studies of antiferromagnetic spintronics, magnetic skyrmions, electrical control of magnetism, terahertz dynamics, and quantum information materials. Current projects emphasize materials development for next-generation technologies.
