Dr. Feng Gu is a Professor of Computer Science at the College of Staten Island, The City University of New York (CUNY). He holds degrees from Georgia State University (Ph.D., M.S.), Beijing Institute of Machinery (M.S.), and China University of Mining and Technology (B.S.). His research focuses on modeling and simulation, complex systems, and high-performance computing, supported by NSF and NIJ grants. Key achievements include pioneering work in malware detection, adaptive particle filtering, and genomic data analysis. He previously served as Department Chair at Voorhees College (2012–2013).
