Felix Ward

Felix Ward is an Associate Professor at the Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam. He specializes in Macroeconomics, Economic History, and Monetary Economics.

His research focuses on the interplay between exchange rate regimes, nominal frictions, and economic growth. He investigates how fixed exchange rates impact output divergence and productivity, particularly in countries with pre-existing inflation differentials.

Notable work includes empirical analysis of the Gold Standard and Spanish Empire maritime disasters to understand monetary effects on real economies. Current projects examine the role of American precious metals in European growth and fiscal multipliers in aging eurozone regions.
