Felix Tintelnot is an Associate Professor of Economics at Duke University's Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University (2013). His research focuses on international trade, multinational firms, global production networks, and trade policy. Key areas include analyzing how firms navigate global markets, the impact of trade policies on prices and production, and the dynamics of multinational enterprise behavior.
His work combines theoretical models with empirical evidence, addressing questions like the effects of foreign multinationals on domestic workers and firms, the structure of global supply chains, and the implications of trade agreements. He has published in top journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, and Journal of International Economics.
External affiliations include the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and the Hardware Marketing Council. Teaching responsibilities include advanced courses in applied microeconomics and specialized topics in economics.
