معرفی
Felix Schilk is a sociologist and research staff member at the Institute of Media Studies, Faculty of Humanities, University of Tübingen, where he works on the research project "Rechte Immersion und engagierte Öffentlichkeiten" (Right-Wing Immersion and Engaged Publics). He completed his PhD at TU Dresden in December 2023 with the dissertation "Die Erzählgemeinschaft der Neuen Rechten. Zur politischen Soziologie konservativer Krisennarrative" (The Narrative Community of the New Right: On the Political Sociology of Conservative Crisis Narratives), for which he received the Dissertation Award from the Dresden Cultural Foundation of Commerzbank.
His research focuses on right-wing extremism, antisemitism, conspiracy theories, and disinformation from a knowledge-sociological perspective, with particular attention to the historical genesis of political ideologies and their everyday dissemination. He examines how right-wing movements use narrative structures to gain cultural hegemony and how conservative crisis narratives function across different historical periods.
Schilk's publications analyze the media strategies of right-wing movements, particularly through case studies of publications like Compact magazine. His work demonstrates how right-wing narratives employ a consistent pattern of division, decadence, and apocalyptic thinking that transcends specific historical contexts. His research spans political sociology, media studies, and discourse analysis, revealing the metapolitical strategies of the New Right.
